Abstract

Introduction. The intensification of competition in goods and services markets and the search for ways to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises have increased attention to strengthening the potential of such an intangible asset as organizational culture. Organizational culture, as a specific institution, is shaped within a particular institutional environment, with its characteristics depending on the established institutional framework and its transformation in the face of current turbulent changes. Considering this critical factor in addressing issues related to transformational changes in organizational culture is especially relevant for Ukrainian logistics service providers, who are still establishing themselves in the complex logistics market.

Purpose. The purpose of this article is to develop provisions for the formation of organizational culture in logistics enterprises through the lens of the institutional approach and to identify priority areas of managerial activities aimed at improving its institutional framework.

Methods. To achieve the set goal, the study employs general and specialized scientific research methods, including systematization, systematic and comparative analysis, and empirical generalizations.

Results. The article substantiates the role of the institutional environment in the process of transforming the organizational culture of enterprises. Institutions and entities shaping the institutional framework of the organizational culture of logistics enterprises are identified. Positive and negative characteristics of the current institutional support for the transformation of organizational culture among logistics service providers in domestic and international markets have been revealed. Based on the conducted analysis, institutional challenges in forming a modern organizational culture of Ukrainian logistics enterprises that provide transportation and forwarding services abroad have been identified. Barriers to the modernization of the organizational culture of these logistics companies have been established. Within the managerial approach to forming a modernized organizational culture, the use of strategic planning technology is proposed.

Prospects. Future research on this topic should focus on developing methodological approaches for designing strategies for forming the organizational culture of logistics enterprises and the organizational mechanism for their implementation, considering transformational changes in the system of institutional factors.
