Publication ethics and editorial policy
The Editorial Board conducts its work in accordance with internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics, and the publishing ethics guidelines developed by Elsevier. The journal’s editorial policy is grounded in the principles of academic integrity, impartiality, professionalism, support for contemporary research, and the application of a double-blind peer review process. Authors are also provided with guidance on preparing manuscripts in accordance with the requirements of international scientometric databases.
The decision to accept a manuscript for publication is made by the Editorial Board solely on the basis of its scholarly significance and the recommendations of reviewers. In doing so, due regard is given to copyright legislation and to principles aimed at preventing plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated objectively, regardless of the authors’ personal characteristics, institutional affiliation, gender, age, or academic status. At the same time, the journal does not cooperate with and does not consider submissions from researchers affiliated with the russian federation or other countries supporting the war against Ukraine.
Materials submitted to the Editorial Office are treated as confidential. Information concerning manuscripts is not disclosed to third parties, and unpublished research findings may not be used without the author’s written consent. In the event of a conflict of interest, editors and reviewers are required to declare recusal, and the Editorial Office ensures the proper resolution of such cases.
Research submitted for publication must also comply with international ethical standards, including the provisions of the Declaration of Helsinki (https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/990_005#Text).
The Editorial Board is committed to maintaining proper communication with authors and does not accept for publication manuscripts that lack sufficient scientific novelty, show evidence of plagiarism, or fall outside the scope of the journal. Reviewers, in turn, are expected to provide independent, well-reasoned, and confidential evaluations within the established timeframes.
Authors bear full responsibility for the originality, novelty, and reliability of their research findings, the accuracy of references and citations, the absence of plagiarism, and the prohibition of simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals. Submission of a manuscript constitutes the author’s consent to its inclusion in electronic databases while retaining copyright.
If errors or inaccuracies are identified after submission or publication, authors must immediately notify the Editorial Office and cooperate in making the necessary corrections. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published, must not be under consideration by another journal, and must be approved by all co-authors and by the institutions where the research was conducted.
