The article reveals the role of credit operations in ensuring the financial stability of the banking system and national economic security, and also substantiates the main trends and directions for increasing the efficiency of bank lending in modern conditions. The study employs analysis and synthesis, a systemic approach, comparative analysis, statistical methods, and forecasting. The article examines the role of bank lending in ensuring the financial stability of the banking system and national economic security. Current trends in the development of the credit market, the structural dynamics of loan portfolios, and the impact of martial law and macroeconomic factors on banks’ lending activity are analyzed. It is substantiated that effective credit risk management, the digitalization of credit processes, and the development of green lending contribute to improving the efficiency of credit operations and strengthening the financial stability of the banking system. Practical recommendations are proposed for banks and regulatory authorities to enhance lending activity under modern conditions. Further research into the impact of credit process digitalization, the integration of ESG criteria, and the development of green lending in the context of post-war economic recovery represents a promising direction for future scientific studies.
