Abstract

Introduction. In the context of global challenges related to climate change, energy security and post-war reconstruction, renewable energy is gaining strategic importance for Ukraine. The transition to environmentally friendly energy sources not only corresponds to global environmental trends, but also opens up new opportunities for stimulating sustainable economic development, attracting investments and forming institutional foundations of a greenpolicy.

Purpose. Analysis of the role of renewable energy as a catalyst for the development of a greeninvestment policy in Ukraine in the context of post-war reconstruction.

Methods. The study used a set of general scientific and special methods, such as: system analysis - to assess the relationships between the development of renewable energy, investment flows and the well-being of the population; comparative analysis - to compare Ukrainian experience with the practices of EU countries and identify relevant development models; economic and statistical method – to substantiate trends in investment dynamics and assess the effectiveness of implemented projects; etc.

Results. The article studies the potential of renewable energy in Ukraine in the context of a greeninvestment policy, which consists in analyzing the opportunities and prospects for the implementation of projects related to renewable energy sources (RES). The authors conducted a comprehensive assessment of Ukraines potential in the field of greeneconomy, namely the use of solar, wind, bioenergy, hydropower and other sources that do not have a negative impact on the environment and are alternative modern ways of generating electricity. The implementation of projects in the field of RES was assessed, which contribute to reducing the cost of importing energy carriers and allow predicting economic benefits from the creation of new jobs and the development of regions that have great potential for installing renewable energy sources. Prospects. Further research involves a deeper development of instruments to stimulate foreign and domestic investments in renewable energy, an analysis of the possibilities of implementing green bonds, state guarantees, and partnership mechanisms, as well as a study of the socio-economic effects of implementing greenenergy projects in the regions of Ukraine.
