Ecological culture as a component of modern socio-economic development and the problems of its formation in public consciousness

Introduction. Environmental problems are now facing all of humanity with all their might, which has a direct impact on the socio-economic development and well-being of the population. In Ukraine, these problems are becoming especially acute in the context of full- scale military operations. However, the ecological culture in Ukrainian society is still not at a very high level, which determines the significant relevance of the study of socio-economic problems of the formation of ecological culture in the public consciousness of Ukraine.
Purpose. The purpose of the study is to propose appropriate scientifically sound approaches based on the analysis that would contribute to accelerating the increase in the level of culture of the population as an important factor in ensuring socio-economic growth.
Methods. In the process of studying the specified problems, general scientific and special research methods were used, including system analysis, systematization and generalization, logical, monographic, comparative, tabular methods.
Results. The theoretical and methodological aspects of the study of ecological culture are considered, its essence and the influence of the cultural level of the population on the improvement of the natural environment, as well as on socio-economic development, are revealed. The current state and compliance with modern realities of the main parameters of those sectors of the social sphere of Ukraine are assessed, which ensure the formation of an ecological culture. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of problems related to human resource issues. It is extremely important that the use of new information technologies ensures effective activities for the formation of an ecological culture in public consciousness and contributes to further sustainable socio-economic development.
Perspectives. Further research should be aimed at developing methodological and methodological approaches aimed at introducing the latest information technologies into the educational process in the context of strengthening environmental education and upbringing.
